Derrick begins his fourth season with the Pelicans, and third as a part of the full-time staff in 2010. The Ohio native spent his first season in baseball as a Pelicans' intern in 2007.
Prior to joining the Pelicans, Derrick received a Bachelor's of Science degree in physical education from Coastal Carolina University.
An avid golfer, Nunziante takes full advantage of his surroundings in Myrtle Beach, enjoying recreational activities of all kinds.
While the Grand Strand suits Derrick, he has remained loyal to his rooting interests in Ohio. He cites the Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavaliers and THE Ohio State University as his favorite sports teams.
