Shellene May entered the world of baseball in February of 2007 as the Pelicans administrative assistant. Born and raised on the Grand Strand, Shellene attended Socastee High School before graduating from the College of Charleston in 2006 with a degree in International Business minoring in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
Away from the ballpark she enjoys traveling, camping, playing bocce ball, and spending time with her family. Shellene and her husband Mark live in Surfside Beach. They are currently anticipating the birth of their first child, daughter Rosemary, expected to arrive in February. The couple also has three dogs Rusty, Baxter, and Helena.
