Julie is in her third season with Pelicans Baseball. She came to the Pelicans from Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she ran her own candy and gift store. With a background in catering and convention services, Julie was a school volunteer for many years where she organized fund raisers, worked in the classroom, and made dozens of costumes. Julie attended Coastal Carolina, Salem College and the North Carolina School of the Arts. An avid outdoors person, Julie was a leader and outdoor trainer for the Girl Scouts.
In 2008, Julie's efforts were at the forefront of the Pelicans being awarded the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce's Community Service Award.
A native of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Julie has been around golf most of her life, but prefers baseball. She loves cheering on John Smoltz and the Braves, but her favorite player is Pudge Rodriguez. Julie and her husband, Keith, enjoy fishing on the pier and spending time with their two children, Katy and Alex.
Little Known Fact: Julie was in the Little Miss Myrtle Beach Pageant in 1970.
